Prolotherapy is a regenerative injection therapy that harness a person’s own innate ability to heal. We inject a combination of dextrose (sugar-water) and local anesthetic right into damaged tissue, which stimulates healing and the production of new, healthy tissue. Prolotherapy increases joint stability, ultimately improving function and decreasing pain.

Traditional approaches with anti-inflammatory drugs and surgery often fail to stabilize the joint and relieve pain permanently. Prolotherapy has the unique ability to directly address the cause of instability and repair the weakened sites, resulting in permanent stabilization of the joint. When precisely injected into the site of pain or injury, these techniques create a mild, controlled inflammation which stimulates the body to lay down new tendon or ligament fibers, resulting in a strengthening of the weakened structure. When the joint becomes strong, pain will be relieved.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture points stimulate the central nervous system. This releases chemicals into the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These biochemical changes can stimulate the body's natural healing abilities. They can promote physical and emotional well-being.

Hello! My name is Lisa Radz, and I am a Registered Social Worker and Certified Personal Trainer with over 10 years of personal training experience.

My current social work experience has been since 2018. It includes working with community-based organizations, working with folks in recovery, and working with children, youth, and family development. This has equipped me with the skills to offer trauma-informed care.

My approach is holistic, person-centered, and trauma-informed, meaning you are honored as you are. I meet you where you are and walk compassionately and collaboratively alongside you at a pace that feels best for you. I strive to hold space for strong emotions, uncertainty, confusion, and curiosity. Together, we will explore your health and fitness goals and address any concerns, experiences, and feelings that may come up during each session.

A typical session involves you and me working collaboratively with a holistic check-in. Based on what you need, we will utilize the gym space. Each session includes a custom individual strength training program to maintain your practice at the gym or at home.

I apply a social work lens, which I incorporate strength-based, mindfulness, and somatic (body-focused) integration into each session. Please note this is not a therapy session, as that is outside my scope for now. If you are seeking individual therapy, my approach may not be the right fit for you.

I look forward to discovering your unique strengths and helping lift the weight of trauma together!
